I am a very passionate person. I bring this intensity to my acting and my dedication to becoming a continually better actress. I believe every experience has something to be learned from it and I take every audition, every callback, every role as a classroom to improve myself and my talents. I love a challenge . . . something that tests my limits and forces me to go somewhere I have never been before. I wholeheartedly value constructive criticism and direction. I believe I have good insight into myself and my roles, but an external and objective opinion is always important.
Going to college, it was a natural choice to be a theater major. There I studied such broad ranges of theater, including: comedy, drama, Shakespeare, Linklater voice and movement technique, Meisner acting technique, Rodenburg voice technique, scene study, cold-readings, directing, make-up, costume and much much more. It was an incredible learning experience and I feel I honed my craft very finely under the diligent guidance of the professors.
During my studies at Boston College, I took time to study at the prestigious Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City. There I studied the Meisner acting technique as well, under the direction of Ron Stetson. I also studied there with Gary Gendell learning dance and movement, and voice with Gary Ramsey. Another wonderful experience that has taught me so much.
Acting is not just something I am pursuing for glory or fame. I am in this game for the long run . . . so hopefully I will see you somewhere down the road.
